Video driver with Windows 98 guest

Post by MrStalker »

Okey, so I've tried the drivers posted in the Windows 95/98 tutorial but they doesn't work. I'm unable to use any setting higher than 640x460x16, every time I try to use for example 1024x768x16 it tells me it isn't supported and reverts back. I've tried with both 3.0.8 and 2.2.4.

If anyone got this working, please tell how and what version you used.

If else, is there any other drivers that might work?

I have the same driver issue, the only driver i can get windows to recognize is the standard video driver. "default" not like in DOS box when i can go and choose what video card emulation i want. what driver, or video card is being emulated so i can get a proper driver installed.

There is a sticky here with a good explanation of things. The driver should be on the site linked in the howto, If the site no longer works, try searching here, I posted the driver here some time ago as attachment.
