subversion in guest

Post by glennwelker »

I have a Subversion repository that I want to access from a Windows guest. Is this possible?

I can access the host if I set networking to host mode. But, then I can't access the internet from the host. If I use NAT, I can access the internet but cannot access the host.

Sorry if this is obvious. New to VirtualBox.

Alright, I have a solution but now I would like someone to confirm that this is the correct way to handle this scenario.

I just added a second network adapter. The first is set to NAT and the second is host only.

Just fine. It is meant to use it that way. You could always try to connect the SVN client to 10.0.2.2 from the Guest. That IP is the Host when using NAT. But are you sure you couldn't use the IP of the Host directly? Doesn't really matter anyway, you've got it working.

why aren't you using bridged mode - internet from guest and guest from host (and vice versa).
