I installed virtual box because i need to have Windows XP as a guest on my computer which has Vista as a host.

I successfully installed Windows XP in virtual box, but then a vicious circle starts. When i try to log in to the administration account, it asks me to activate Windows XP. Which I did the first time and got the message that XP is activated.
However when i press OK instead of loading Windows XP, the program sends me back to the login page. When i click to load the administrator accont, it reasks me again to activate XP, and says again that it is activated and again sends me to the login page.

I don't know how to get past of this log in page.
My windows XP is genuine and the activation key was renewed on their telephone system.

Please give me your solutions

We are not a Microsoft forum here. This issue has nothing to do with VB, other than that you're running the OS on it. Please go to a specialized Microsoft forum, or call their support desk.

Keep in mind that your 'genuine' copy of Windows must not be an OEM, because those are hardware bound at first activation and 'branded' versions (like Dell or HP, the ones shipped with the computer) are usually activated through information in the BIOS.

Ok, thanks for the answer.
I thought it was VB problem. I'll try to install another XP then.
