I have not yet installed VirtualBox on a XP x64 host. I'm about to install ESET's Smart Security 4 (antivirus + firewall). Should I install VirtualBox before or after installing ESET? If after ESET, should I then temporarily disable ESET's antivirus and/or firewall before installing VirtualBox?
Thanks,
Don Culp

Re: Installing VirtualBox with antivirus + firewall software
The order shouldn't matter. When you install it after you have the security suite installed, it should not be needed to disable the antivirus software. I run AVG on my Windows machine (though I hardly boot to it) and never disabled it when installing or upgrading VB. Haven't seen any issues.
