Run VMWare's V-Machine ?

hi,
I'm a long time user of VMWare products on Windows (Host).
I want to start running Linux (Ubuntu) as Host.

I have a v-machine (XP) created from my physical work PC using VMware's Converter.
Can Virtualbox run this v-machine ?

If not, what options do I have ? Is there a way to convert the vm to one usable by Virtualbox ?

PS: I have run the v-vm using vmware Player on Ubuntu Host --- not happy w/ the performance, so I'm looking to give Virtualbox a try.

Make a copy first, so you can't damage your original. Then read this. It doesn't matter that you are starting from virtual, the issues are the same when moving between different "hardware" whether P2P, P2V or V2V (or V2P!).
