Can't start OpenSUSE VM after installing 3.0.8

Post by BenS »

Hi,

I'd run a OpenSUSE in a VM under WinXP - worked great, but today i installed VirtualBox 3.0.8.
Now I get an error if i try to start the old VM.

'C:\PROGRA~1\Sun\XVMVIR~1\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso' is not accessible. Could not access the image file 'C:\PROGRA~1\Sun\XVMVIR~1\VBoxGuestAdditions.iso' (VERR_PATH_NOT_FOUND

What to do now? got important files in this system :(

Unmount the cd in the guest settings before you start the guest.

Had the same problem with Ubuntu. Unmounting the media from the guest isn't intuitive, because I want to install guest additions!
What you need to do is release/remove the old guest additions, run your VM and then go to Devices->Install Guest Additions.
