Sharing folders with Mac OS X host

Post by mformomentum »

Hi! in order to get access to my files I am trying to create a shared folder between my Mac OS X Snow Leopard host and Windows XP guest
for some reason the shared folder I specified in the settings wont turn up in networking places?
I did read the manual but I guess must have missed something crucial? is there something I need to specify within the WinXP guest also? or could the reason be WinXP is on a NTFS partition (FAT32 was not an option for this version of WinXP)?
help would be much appreciated, thanks!
