USB capture help

I'm running VirtualBox PUEL on a Win 7 host. I have an internal usb wireless adapter that I'm having trouble capturing through VB. Virtual Box recognizes it correctly, and I've added it to the USB filter list and checked it. Whenever I boot Virtualbox it says that the adapter is captured, but virtualbox doesn't show any usb devices attached. The problem I believe is, though I can eject the wireless adapter like I would a flash drive or any other external usb device, I can't physically plug it back in since it is internal. I have to reboot my pc and let Windows pick it back up and install it. I was able to successfully capture it and it was shown as attached once, but through a series of reboots, enables, disables, blank filters, and everything else. I've googled several articles discussing usb issues, but I'm unable to capture the wireless adapter still.

I have an external adapter that I use for my host connection, and I just bridged that to virtualbox to get a working internet connection, so there is no issue there. The main reason I'm concerned with the internal adapter is because it has a Ralink chipset and is useful in the applications I want to use. Any help or advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
