Windows 7 video issue

Hello!
I am running VirtualBox on Windows 7 64-bit and when I am using a Windows 7 Ultimate client, 64-bit my video gets all messed up. It works fine for any other OS (Windows Vista, XP, Ubuntu). It only happens with Windows 7. I have installed the latest Guest additions and it only happens a few minutes after usage. Very strange. Has anyone seen anything similar?
Have attached a screen capture, hopefully that helps!
Thanks!
J

If you have problems like this always try the newest version of vbox (3.08 at the moment) and always upgrade the guest additions after upgrading the vbox version.

Running the latest version and updated the Guest Additions. The video only goes bad after using the virtual machine for a while (i.e. 30 minutes or so).

Please post the settings for the guest. Also set the VRam to no more than 64 meg and try that.

Depending on what you are doing 2 Gig for (2) 64 bit machines is asking for a problem.
Set the guest as low as you can and no more the 64meg VRam. It will work until it runs out of memory.
Other than that you probably should add a bit more memory.

Try it with one processor in the vm.

Running still with 2GB RAM but only 1 core and only 64MB Video RAM - this seem to work fine. Have had the VM running for several hours and not a problem yet. Many thanks for the suggestion!

I am running Windows 7 x64Bit on my Host
and running Windows 7 x86Bit on my Guest ..
My Guest Video Settings are:
- 128MB
- Acceleration enabled
My HP Laptop is severly outdated
I have no problems at all..
infact.. when i utilize the "Full Screen" option ..
It looks just like the Host Machine
Ensure you update the Video Drivers using "Guest Additions.ISO"
Did you try "Auto Resize Guest Display" in the Menu Option once you're at the Guest Desktop ?
