I'm having a problem booting a Windows 7 .vmdk file in Virtual Box.
If I boot the physical drive that the vmdk file references, Windows 7 boots fine. If I try to boot the .vmdk file, all I see is an underscore in the top left corner of the screen. If I mount the Windows 7 install disc, it does not even find the operating system.
I'm using Mint 7 (Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty) as the host. Could there be a problem with virtual box not having the correct permissions to access the Windows 7 partition? I believe the drive is set to be read/write for all users. Any ideas?

Re: Windows 7 Will Not Boot
Do you mean the OVF file?
Is this from VMware, or an export?
Maybe you can explain a little better and I can see if I can help.
