[Solved] Error on Guest install

Post by daniellouwrens »

Hi

I have VirtualBox 3.0.8r3138 installed on a Vista Ultimate 64 PC, I am trying to install Vista Home Premium (X86) in VB but when the install disk loads I get an error message screen that says an unexpected error has occurred Error 0xc0000225 and it tells me to put the DVD into the drive and reboot then select repair?

I have no idea where to go from here, any advice appreciated.

BTW I need to install the 32Bit OS so I can run my scanner, I did this on my previous PC without a problem, but that was with a previous version of VB.

cheers

Daniel

Make sure that you have not turned on IO APIC or VT-x /AMD-v unless your bios supports hardware-v.

Hi

it turns out it was the other way round, I had to turn IO APIC on and it worked, but I appreciate your input, it showed
me where to look and what to try.

Thank you,

regards
