i can not mount a usb device with vista (sp2) x86 host, xp(sp3) x86 guest and virtualbox 3.0.8
any idea/help?

host : vista home premium 32bit Service pack 2
guest : xp sp3 32bit
type of usb device : any
i select from the menu Devices->usb devices->any device
the vista display a message that installing drivers for the virtubox usb device and after while displays a new message that the device is ready
in the guest machine there is no indication for the device and the icon on status bar says that no devices has been connected
if i try again then i get an error message that the previous request for the device is pending without joy even after days
