FWIW, I was having problems for the last few versions of VirtualBox (at v3.0.8 now) on an AMD64 Quad host, running a WinXP guest.
Whenever I enabled my iPhone (which caused iTunes to launch and attempt to synch my iPhone), the iTunes cpu usage would spike to 100% and the synch would never finish.
This problem went away with I disabled "Nested Paging".
(The problem also did not appear with AMD-V enable or diabled - "Nested Paging" seems to be the cause).
Is that logical that "Nested Paging" would cause this problem, or should it be considered a bug?
Just in case it matters:
1. My host system is running Ubuntu 9.04 - 64bit without a swap file (because I have a SSD, and read that swap can wear it out...)
2. The WinXP guest is 32-bit.
Thanks.

What if you minimize itunes when it launches?

Re: High CPU usage with iTunes iPhone synch AMD64 host
(using vbox 3.0.10 now)
Minimizing iTunes during the synch DOES seem to improve the speed of things...(yuck!

Thanks for the pointer.
