copy & paste

Post by George2 »

I'm probably the first one who tried
Win XP Home Ed. as host,
Win XP Home Ed. as guest.
I am using Virtual box 3.0.8.
I am doing it, because I tend to try various freeware and want to have the host system clean.

I have seen some videos how to work with it, but copy&paste of a text string from host to guest and vice versa doesn't work. It looks like there are two isolated clipboards. I manage several times to do it in one direction but I thing there's a bug.

Does anybody have the same experience? What am I doing wrong? Is it a bug because nobody tested XP/XP? Should I report it in official phorum?

Thanks in advance for reply

Installed the Guest Additions? That makes it possible to share the clipboard. Text only, no images or files.
