[Fedora 12] Kernel panic

Post by Teutates »

Hello,

On VBox 3.0.6, I installed Fedora 12 Alpha and on the reboot, I have a kernel panic :
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknow block(0,0)
It seem a VBox bug.

No, it's not a VB bug, it's a user error. It's simply that you try to load an alpha OS which VB doesn't support. Check Wikipedia or even the release notes of the distro, it will clearly explain what alpha means in the programming world.

I have experienced issues with Fedora 11 on reboot with the DVD mounted in VBox host. Who knows, maybe unmounting DVDROM from host will help.
