multiple monitors - using MS RDP, very slow

Hello!

I'm using VirtualBox 3.0.6 and an Windows XP guest on a Windows XP host.
I tried to get the multiple monitor feature running, and it works with MS RDP client. The problem is that it is not that fast as if I would start the virtual machine directly with the VirtualBox GUI.

Any ideas to speed up? Why are multiple monitors not supported using directly the VirtualBox GUI?
