What are the more interesting things to do with VB?

Hello! New here (well, kinda). :)

After installing a bunch of Linux distros (the main popular ones) I wondered if there were any I missed or any interesting operating system developments like netbook OSes that I could demo or something. So far I have BeOS (Haiku alpha 1), Debian, Fedora, LinuxMint, Mandriva, openSUSE, Ubuntu and Windows XP installed. Why? I'm curious and I like to keep on top of developments in Linux distros and general non-Linux OS releases for a more informed experience. All the virtual hard drives are on an external USB hard drive which seems to work quite well (I'm not too worried about speed there).

So, is there anything I'm missing? :)

You're missing Gentoo, Slackware, Arch Linux, Puppy Linux, CentOS, Red Hat, Damn Small Linux, Xandros, and some other, more minor distributions. As for Windows systems, you're missing on Vista and Windows 7, and also the server versions 2003, 2008 and 2008 R2. You can also try *BSD (e.g. OpenBSD and FreeBSD) and (Open)Solaris if you want.

That will cover about most OSses there are, apart from Unix itself and OS/2. Mac OS cannot run in VB and it's also a violation of their EULA, so that's not something to do. If you want experience with Mac OS X, get a Mac ;).

Anything else you want to know?

Weren't there some recent netbook Linux distros released recently (I can't remember the name of some of them)? Maybe the Chrome OS? I don't mind if they're useful in VB or not though as I'd just like to see what they can do. :) Is QNX still free or are they still trying to sell it?
 Edit:  Oh! I forgot AROS.

Xandros is one of those netbook distro's. If you get an Acer or Asus, you can pick the Xandros version (the other is Windows XP). There are some that are commercial, like Xandros (from what I saw at their website). I don't know about the license type of QNX (pay for or free).

Ok, thanks! You really helped to get me going. I think another distro was the one for the OLPC laptops. The one with the Sugar interface. Hmmm...

Thanks again. :)

Oh! That's the one I'm trying to think of. Jolicloud. :) I wonder if I can get that to run in VB...
