New EEE pc with no right control key and full screen virtual

Post by pbohr »

I Just installed a virtual machine on my XP EEE pc netbook. I created 2 virtual images one for ubuntu one for Win7
Win7 took forever so I let it run out the installation on it's own. When I came back I had 2 bootable images
in full screen mode, but no indication of the HOST key. I then realised the netbook has no right control key.
How do I get back to the host OS? Will I have to reinstall the XP from scratch? Can I since everything I boot comes up
on one of the guest OS's? Netbooks have no native disk drive either so booting from CD does not work here?

I'm beginning to think using this on a netbook was a mistake.

Thanks for any magic solution if you can think of one.

Start the VBox program and click on file -> preferences -> input.
Click once in the box that shows the host key and then click on what ever key you want it to be and save.
The host key emulates the ctrl+alt combination, so you probably don't want to use the alt key.
