BIOS Viruses..?

If a Windows-based host motherboard is infected with a BIOS-virus, can this affect/infect a Windows-based guest?

Only in as much as the guest relies on the host to carry out some functions.

Ok, are you saying that the BIOS virus on the host may not necessarily infect the guest, but may impede any BIOS functions that the guest may access?

A BIOS virus runs outside a real OS, it doesn't matter if you would run Windows, Linux or whatever. Do you know what a BIOS virus actually does? Read this for some useful information:
