Can't get work NAT on guest Ubuntu JeOS 8.04, just no new interface in the "ifconfig" output.
Guest Additions not installed, have tried diff. network cards.
host: Win Vista 32, VB 3.0.6

It's just nearly out of the box guest. Bth, i have Ubuntu 8.10 (full) working well

Funny thing about Ubuntu JeOS server it (usually) does not come with the network manager and you need to set it up manually.
Edit the /etc/network/interfaces and add the information needed.
You will also need to add DNS to the resolv.conf file.
