[Solved] Windows 2000: No Internet
[Solved] Windows 2000: No Internet
I have a Windows 2000 vdi file that was burned on a DVD about a year ago. When I copied it to my HDD the other day and booted it in VirtualBox, I got no internet. I installed the guest additions but still no net. Will I have to do a clean 2000 install in a VM because I believe I made the .vdi back in the Virutalbox 2.0 days.

Re: Windows 2000: No Internet
Only thing that I can think of is the host interface changed to Bridged. Besides that other changes or improvements to the network are still compatible. You might look at the guest settings and try NAT and see if you can get it to work. Also make sure that the adapter type is the same or you will need to update/install the driver in Windows. Probably the PCnet-Fast III is what you had.
