Windows 7 (guest) can't complete Experience Index

Post by lilDave22 »

Running VirtualBox 3.0.6 on Ubuntu 9.04 with Windows 7 as the guest.

After installing the guest additions I rerun the Experience Index and it locks on "Windows Media Decoding Performance". After a while it says that the Experience Index could not complete. Any ideas?

Guest additions must be installed in safe mode.

It was installed in safe mode. The Experience Index knows there is new hardware and wants to do the check, but then it just locks.

More than likely since the addition of 3D effects and hardware acceleration is still experimental the experience index is not going to run. Only a guess though you should wait for others to let you know if they have been able to complete it.
