Running Amplitube and Guitar Rig in XP Guest

Post by winsmaster »

Hi there,

I'd like to know if it's possible to use programs such as Amplitube and Guitar Rig in a Windows guest. I have tried, but since I cannot use native drivers nor Asio drivers for my soundcard, I haven't been able to run these VST hosts.
Currently XP as a guest does not recognize microphones nor jack inputs, so I just don't know what to do. Any ideas? :?:

If the Guest can't see a device it won't work, you might consider commercial solutions that work via RDP.

How would RDP work on this? Would you tell me some examples?
I have also read about the possibility of using a USB sound card, but I'm not sure if I could use its native driver. Right now the problem is the microphone (or any sound input) isn't recognize by guest.

USB over IP or USB over RDP are seperate products that might do what you want.
