I've been instaled 3.0.6 yesterday on XP SP3 with 2 vms - mandriva and ubuntu and all works fine. Today after a machine reboot, I try to start VBox and a popupbox with the message : VirtualBox Critical error: Fail to create COM object to Virtualbox - The appl will be ended - Details box:

Anybody knows whats happen? Can help me?

Was this an update or a new install?
If it was an upgrade try reinstalling and select repair by right clicking on the install and left clicking run as... Admin.
Also you may need to make sure that if it is an upgrade that the program file location did not change which could cause this.
Another problem could be the version you upgraded from (if this is an upgrade). If so tell us what version you were using before.

Thaks Perryg but it was a fresh install. I'll try your direction to reinstall after take a backup of the vdi files.
