Hello there,i have recently started using Virtualbox to explore other OS'es and along the way i have discovered that it is an excellent sandbox, just in case to test some suspicious software.

My problem is that although the setup installation of Guest OS (WinXP) to the Host OS (WinXP) is going smoothly, the guest OS cannot Map the network drive or at least doesn't recognize the Host OS as it should and thus cannot transfer files between the two OS'es.I have created the shared folder in the Host OS dekstop. My firewall for the Host OS is Comodo firewall.

Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance :)

If you use the Shared Folders feature, you need the Guest Additions before you can access it. Read the manual for how to use the Shared Folders.
