Post by adyw »

After that I install Fedora Linux 11 on that VirtualBox.
The problem, no such network available on Fedora Linux

Did you do or change any settings?
It states you are using NAT for the guest but the address scheme is that same as you main connected NIC.
I would have expected to see 10.0.X.X
Probably why IPv4 is not showing in the ifconfig of the guest.

Dear Perry

I re-read the manual and decided to use bridge networking finally, NAT is little bit confusing for me :)

Code: Select all

NIC 1: MAC: 08002701EAD3, Attachment: Bridged Interface 'Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0)', Cable connected: on, Trace: off (file: none), Type: 82540EM, Rep
And then assign another IP address to Fedora Linux.
- My Vista use 192.168.1.104
- My Fedora LInux on Vbox use 192.168.1.155

and both set gateway to 192.168.1.1

Now I can use my Fedora to connect to INternet

Thanks for reply
