I am clueless on how to get vb on my cooperate network. I have tried nat and bridged. But no matter what I try I cannot get port forwarding set up.
I need to be able to connect from a web browser to this vm, mysql, and putty.
My host os is windows xp sp3 (all updates) and my guest os is Red hat Linux Enterprise server 3. With the 2.4 kernel.
If some one can provide an idiots guide to setting this up I would be very grateful.
I have a valid ip I can use for the static IP of my guest and my host is running in dhcp.
Thanks I will be glad to provide any info needed from the terminal ect.

Well if you use Bridged it will appear to be just another node on the network and port forwarding is not needed.
If you have set it to Bridged and it still does not work I would look at a firewall issue.
