Virtual GUI Has Stopped Working

I am running VirtualBox 3.0.6 on a Vista host. I have both an Ubuntu and XP SP3 guest installed on the virtual machine. When I start either, my internet does not work correctly. I can browse the web to an extent. When I try to load certain pages, VirtualBox crashes on me the message box I receive says "VirtualBox GUI Has Stopped Working." This happens in both Ubuntu and XP. For example, I tried to check my internet banking using the XP guest. I can navigate to the bank's home page but when I try to log on I receive the error. Why is this? And why can I only access certain webpages before VirtualBox crashes? I also tried a reinstall of VirtualBox with no luck. What can I do? Also, my network adapter for the guest machines are PCnet-FAST III(NAT) if that is any help. I have a Toshiba Satellite A305. Thanks.

We need a little more information.
What is the host RAM and what are you assigning to the guests? Are you running more than one guest at a time?
Have you looked at the VBox log files to see if it indicates anything?
Is Vista up-to-date with patches and security fixes?
Suggestion: Post a log file of the guest after the crash has occurred.

Host RAM is 3GB. Guest RAM is 192MB. I am only running one guest at a time. Vista is up to date. Also, some webpages will not crash the system but the webpage will not display just a white page. Here is the log file...Thanks for your reply.

Try giving the XP guest 256 meg and 512 meg if that is not enough. I think while XP will work in 128 Meg the browser may be using too much memory if the sites are heavy and you are using IE to browse with. FireFox may work with a lower Ram signature but I have not tested that out.

Thanks for the reply but no luck with that. I increased the RAM to 512mb and the same thing happened.

I had a memory leak problem in Vista over a year ago and fixed it with this
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/KB949700 but I have not heard about it for a long time and assumed that a service pack from Windows had fixed it. But you can try this and see if it helps as well. Maybe that is what is causing your problem I am not sure.
Or you could try to use an older version to see if it works. Version 2.2.4 was the most stable version they had if you don't need the 3D effects or SMP.

I was having this exact problem with a Solaris 10 U7 install (Windows GUI has stopped working). I was installing from the DVD using pass through. If you are trying to reproduce, it happened just after the network card configuration gave up on install type 3 (GUI and ZFS). It happened on other things too, but I wasn't paying attention.
I have finally gotten somewhere, installing absolutely no hotfixes for Vista. And doing nothing to virtual box. I installed from the ISO image instead of the DVD. I also choose the default install and install option 4 (for TTY and ZFS). With this things worked.
So, if you are or were trying to use the DVD or CD, dump it to a file and use the image instead.
