Hi all
I have a small problem - after installation of Vbox on windows XP host all guests - Windows 7, Vista, Opensolaris, Fedora running ok and well, except Ubuntu distros - my example 9.04, screen seeting max are allowed 800x600, Ill tried differenteky but nothing work.
Has any one a good solution for this
Should I do something in Vbox configuration, Windows host or etc.?
Would be great to get an answer, for this topic.

Have you installed the Guest Additions in the guests?

No Problem. You only have to read the FAQ and the User Manual.

Re: Screen settings on Windows hosts for Ubuntu server guest
Actually 800x600 is all I have on my Linux servers as well. Since there are no desktops or Xserver there is no need to actually have a bigger screen.
There may be a parameter that you can use to get it larger, but I don't remember what it is, sorry.

Re: Screen settings on Windows hosts for Ubuntu server guest
Ill tried to do this
on guest server sudo apt-get install dkms
the I`ve added guest additions, an sh ./VBoxLinuxAdditions-amd64.run, it said cant run script above.
So I shuold agree that if on Ubuntu server you do not need xorg, than you do not need resolution higher than 800x600.
Any way thanks for ideas ill try tomorrow the same with Ubuntu 9.04 desktop .
