To add more RAM you shut down the guest and increase it in the guest settings. Not to exceed 1/2 of the available memory on 32 bit versions.
To increase the size of the drive you should look at Clone VDI tool or you can use the VBoxManage but for people that are not used to CLI work I strongly suggest you try the Clone VDI tool.
