Why do I get this error when installing XP as a guest on an XP host machine. I set my virtual to 15GB and my RAM to 193MB! Any ideas on this.?

Windows might not like the odd allocation. Set it to 192 MB. XP should install with 128 MB of RAM, but there is also a check on it for minimum memory. If you still get the same error with 192 MB of RAM, set it to 256 MB.

You are right about the odd allocation in windows. Windows doe not like odd numbers when it comes to memory. So when adjusting memory allocation use 8,16,32,64,128,256,512 and so on. Just a little additional tip to help people out.
