Hello forum members,

I successfully installed Windows 98 SE as my guest OS in virtual box,but can not get the guest
addtions installed;the virtualbox guest additions are "mounted" as a virtual cd-rom drive,but when I click to "autoplay" I get NO confirmation nor progress indicator of the additions installation!!??

I am also having pronlems with virtual box finding PCI card drivers(Intel ICH 7 sound chip,analog modem,etc.!!),and USb hub/bus drivers;I know when I first installed Windows 98 SE that the USB icon was "enabled"(no longer enabled) in the virtual boxtaskbar(??)!!

Win 98 is ancient history. It's clearly stated in the manual and the global FAQ on the main site: there are no GA for Win9x. Only 2000 and higher are supported. If you read and followed the Forum Posting Guide, you would have known without opening this topic.
