Basically I want to go crazy and make an entire network of Linux machines that connect remotely (as in offsite remotely) to a bunch of Windows XP Pro workstations. The only problem is I still need printers and scanners on-site.
Is there software that works with VMWare or VBox that will allow me to do this? Or am I going to need to do a series of VPNs for this to work?

Re: Virtual machine setup off site with hardware
For a initial setup you can install the software, add a tcpip port and set that up as well, a single vpn can be used to test once.
