I'm trying to run the Windows Server 2008 R2 trial appliance available as a .VHD from MS. It seams to boot fine in VirtualBox with Ubuntu 9.04 as host.
The problem is that I can not login as the preconfigured password "Pass@word1" contains the @-character but pressing AltGr+2 does not give any character (no special character seams to work).
Could it be a problem with the keyboard settings of the host?
I have tried changing from Swedish keyboard to US in Ubuntu but with the same result.
Anyone having an idea?
BR,
Markus

Re: Win2008 VHD, password contains @-char but Alt not working
The layout on the Guest is probably US or similar, so Shift + 2 will provide the @ sign. I've never heard of Altgr + 2 providing the @ sign, but then again, I know little of foreign keyboard layouts.
