Hi,

When using vboxsdl.exe we got a MS XP serious error notification popup on close.

Both ways closing the app by clic on the window frame upper right close button, or shutting down the guest operating system.

here is the digest crash DATA
AppName: vboxsdl.exe AppVer: 3.0.6.0 ModName: vboxsdl.exe
ModVer: 3.0.6.0 Offset: 00005bf9

We do not have the problem using vboxmanage but we want to limit the end user interaction.

Thanks for helping us

Regards

I have confirmed this and while you should not use the (Red X) at the upper right to close the program it does not work properly when using the Windows shutdown either.
With that said here is a <snip> from the users Guide about VBoxsdl.

VBoxSDL is a simple graphical user interface (GUI) that lacks the nice point-and-click support which VirtualBox, our main GUI, provides. VBoxSDL is currently primarily used internally for debugging VirtualBox and therefore not officially supported. Still, you may find it useful for environments where the virtual machines are not necessarily controlled by the same person that uses the virtual machine.

Anything is possible, but I doubt this is on the top of their list of things to do so it may be a while.
