How the access USB flash memory devices?? (Debian Lenny)

Post by chevybelair »

Greetings all

First off I tried to do a blog search for the info I am looking for but the search didn't seem to be working.

I am trying to mount a USB device within a guest machine but when I right click in the USB icon in the lower right tool bar the USB devices are greyed out.machine.

I have Virtualbox 3.0.4 loaded on my Debian Lenny (AMD64). I have had this working on Debian etch, but when I had to put a new hard drive I reloaded with Debian Lenny. The instructions are still for Etch and Lenny doesn't seem to have a USB group.

Could someone please enlighten me on the setup for Lenny so I can get this working?

W.

Your profile says that you are using the OSE version of VBox. You need the PUEL version to be able to use USB.
