Hi,

I have been reading alot about virtualbox and what people have done with it.
I have read that people have managed to use an existing partition and load that into vb, with both winxp and ubuntu.

I was wondering if this is possible:
I plan to install windows7 and ubuntu on dual boot.
Would it be possible to combine tutorials i have seen around here, to access ubuntu through vb while im on win7, and access win7 through vb while im on ubuntu?
I'm sure it is possible..?

My second question is this:
If I have them on win7 and ubuntu dual boot setup, and have vb installed on both os's, could i share existing vm's?

I have to ask that since you are planning to use VirtualBox why do you want to use a dual boot?
The whole purpose of a virtualizer is to keep from needing to dual boot.
Anyway what you are looking for is called RAW access and it can be done. You can search this forum for how by using the following

But is it possible to do it both ways?

HD1 = ubuntu
HD2 = w7

when booted in ubuntu vb raw disk to w7, when booted in w7 vb war risk to ubuntu.

?

I found some results from the search but many people say there is a problem doing this in win7, or has this been fixed now?
