use of usb error

hi,
i have a windows xp into virtual box.. when i use a usb drive, i click on menù "dispositivi" (i'm italian..) and select usb and select the usb drive that i want use...
but i receive an error :
E_INVALIDARG (0X80070057)

and i don't use the pendrive...
the driver installs .. The pendrive removed from the windows (the real one) with the Remove option and is not visible from windows .. But I can not see inside the virtual machine ..
