I have to connect to my college VPN from my home. I am using CISCO vpn client.
When I use client on my guest OS (VISTA) --> It works fine, I can map the network drive
When I use client on my host OS (ubunt) ----> I can connect to VPN, but when I try to mount the network drive, it gives error...

You will have to use Bridge mode for vpn to work if NAT doesn't.
