vdi files disappeared

vdi files disappeared

Hello all,

i ve been using VirtualBOX on my Vista Home Premium 64bit OS and i have (had :( ) one virtual hdd where is Windows XP installed. Last night i was working on virtual XP, i left pc over night for download and today when i wanted to start virtual xp my folder where vdi file was is disappeared. i ve searched all my drive for file but i dont have it on hdd. file was couple of GB's i dont know exactly... whole folder is gone... i did recover files option in myrecover software and he dont see that any file is deleted nor the folder where was vdi file. PLZ help

There are tools that map the usage of your hard drive for which folder is taking up how much space. Use that to track your VDI. Maybe you moved it somewhere and lost track of where it went. Did you also try the build in search function to search for .vdi files?

no i didnt 100%

yes i tried with tc and all checked option, none, on both c: and d: partition...
