Network settings to setup a server

Post by Daniele »

HI, I'm Daniele and I run Virtualbox 3.0.6 with a windows xp guest over a Windows xp system.
I have a Pc connected at Internet by a proxy server, in a business lan area, with static IP address .

I'd like to install a server over the guest and i 'd like to connect to it from a client resident in the main host or from other clients resident in other pc of the subnet.

Is it possible?
Can you tell me how can i do?

Configure it like it is a separate physical system. Set the NIC attached method to Bridged, and select the correct physical NIC that the Host uses to connect to the network.

I want to set up the confuguration i have just described
****************************
I'd like to install a server over the guest and i 'd like to connect to it from a client resident in the main host or from other clients resident in other pc of the subnet.
*********
but don'want to connect my guest server directly with the router where my host pc is connected.

I don't want that the router handle my Virtualbox guest system.

I want that the other client over the other pc and the client resiedent over my host system, connects my host server calling my host's IP address or similar.

Is it possible?

Thank you so much.
