64 bit OS's will not install

Post by archen »

I've tried installing both Windows 7 RC 64bit, and Ubuntu 9.0.4 64bit. Neither will install saying I have an incompatible processor. Any help?

Look in the bios and see if you have hardware-v turned on. If you do not have it then you can not install 64 bit OS in VBox.

i don't even have the option. is this an issue with the new release only? I'm almost positive I have the 64bit version running on my laptop which doesn't have hardware v.
