Hi all,
First all, I have to say my english is not very good but I think you will understand the issue I have.
I am working in HP7700, 2GB Ram, SO Ubuntu 8.04 and VirtualBox version 3.0.4r50677
The VM is a WindowsXP with SP3. Everything works ok except one thing, when I try to use my keyboard with the SmartCard reader (I put the filter on), virtualbox captures the keyboard and works right in the guest but in the host I am not able to work with it. If I turn off the VM with XP, the keyboard in the host keep not working. To make it work again I have to reconnect the usb port manually or suspend and restart the host.
Can I do something to fix it?
Thanks in advance

Re: USB keyboard doesnt work after be captured by VM
You should really not put a filter for the keyboard in the USB section of the guest setting. It will cause this very problem and usually kills the keyboard completely until a reboot of the host. If the reader is a separate device it may be possible to filter that but you would need to set this up and test yourself.
