Virtualbox keeps freezing.
I have installed Virtualbox 3.06OSE. I'm running Windows XP as I like to download games but find that they don't play very well on Ubuntu. I used it for an hour or so and downloaded some games and I have since had an error message that reads.... Cannot find import Dll may be missing, corrupt or wrong version file d3d8.dll error 126. Firstly I have no idea what this message means or how to resolve it and secondly since I had this message appear XP seems to be freezing. The games don't run either. Can anyone advise me what i'm doing wrong please.

Install the guest additions but do it in safe mode.
Press F8 repeatably when you first start Windows.
