VB upgrade -> PB with VDI files

Hi,
Every time I made an upgrade with VB, i have a lot of problems.
Most of the problems come from the fact that some "Daemon" never start....
Any idea why?? I can't understand..
Most of the time it's Virtualbox additions service.. last time it was sendmail. But when I start sendmail manually -> it works. ?!!?
but if there is a crash....the Image won't start if the daemon has been selected.. That's really pain in the neck

I am using VB 3.0.6 on CentOS 5.3 _64b
