I created some guest os using Windows XP and Vista with VB2.x and now am using VB3.0.6 and would like to take advantage of the multi-cpu support for the guest os. I turned on IO APIC and set the number of CPU to 2, but the OS doesn't recognize it.
Does this only work for new installs of guest OS? Or is there something wrong with my setup?
Thanks!

You also have to tell windows to use an SMP kernel. It can be done but it is kind of a pain. It has been documented here on the forum before. Try searching for it.
