[Solved] Router DHCP IP Table - No guest host client name?
Posted: 11. Sep 2009, 19:27
HOST: Windows XP
GUEST: Fedrora 11
ROUTER: Linksys WRT54GS
How do I get the GUEST system's name (hostname) to appear in my router's DHCP Active IP Table?
The name for each of my other network items appears in the table as shown below:
Client Host Name.......IP Address..........MAC Address........Expires
Printer1................192.168.1.100.....00:24:81:75:03:2B.....23:56:12
PC1.....................192.168.1.102.....00:15:C5:58:D7:C2.....23:56:17
PC2.....................192.168.1.103.....00:11:11:72:D7:3A.....23:56:17
PC1.....................192.168.1.104.....00:1D:7E:01:2E:AA.....23:56:17
.........................192.168.1.105.....08:00:27:9A:E0:B7.....23:59:45
.........................192.168.1.106.....08:00:27:76:55:0A.....23:59:46
PC1 appears twice because I have 2 NICs installed (one ineternal, one usb).
The last 2 lines (no Client Host Names) are my GUEST's ips for each of the HOST's NICs.
GUEST network adapter 1 is configured as Bridge Adapter, Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller
GUEST network adapter 2 is configured as Bridge Adapter, Linksys USB 2.0 Network Adapter ver. 2
Thanks,
ph
