Ubuntu 9.04 after sudo aptitude safe-upgrade

Did you add VirtualBox to your repo list?
If you are getting this from the Dist Repo it would be an OSE not the PUEL (non free)
Can you look and see for sure that you are using the OSE version and also your repo list?
Plus 3.0.6 is a beta and I don't think it is available from repo, although not sure.

solved. Time heals sometimes. The .deb wasn't present for half an hour. But when I went back awhile later aptitude installed it without a hitch. Off to see it I have more functionality. peace.

Packages were still being uploaded to the server. The releases file was done first, hence the 404 error.
