Mouse fails in primary OS

Hi,

I've been using Windows XP within VirtualBox OSE 2.1.4 within Ubuntu 9.0.4 and everything works well.

I installed the extras to run in seamless mode and, although it works, the mouse stops. Seamless works well, but only with the touchpad. Now the mouse doesn't work at any point in time, even when virtualbox is not running. I tried to reboot, but it seems like virtualbox has changed something fundamental witin Ubuntu.

When I start virtualbox and look under devices - USB there is nothing listed, neither the wireless keyboard or the wireless mouse

I am using a logitech wireless mouse and wireless keyboard (the keyboard works fine).

Any ideas on how I can get this working again?

Thanks,
Peter

VB OSE does not support USB. Even though your host mouse and keyboard might be USB-based, in the guest VM the mouse and keyboard appear as PS/2 devices.

I realize this is not a solution to your problem but perhaps it will keep you from looking in the wrong place.
