Ok, mine configuration after creating the bridge:
Code: Select all
root@warbox-co-cc:~# VBoxManage showvminfo Debian-Test-Box | grep "NIC 1"

If the VM needs to be like a normal physical machine, you no longer need a virtual NIC for the bridge. At least, since version 2.1.0 (check the changelogs for the exact version), you no longer need it. You select the NIC directly. For the VM, you simply configure it with the IP you want it to have.

IP configuration is not done in VB, it's in the OS itself. If you don't know, Google it.

You're confusing Host-Only with Host Interface, the name changed a few versions back. Host-Only is as the manual states, only the Host, no outside connections possible (VMs and Host connections only). Host Interface is renamed to Bridged to avoid confusions with Host-Only.
